I can now officially announce that I have indeed decided to learn the cello! A very generous friend of mine offered to loan me her cello for the 8 weeks of the project so that I do not have to rent one.
After picking up the cello, I must confess that I could not wait to attempt to play it. I recorded my first session, as I will do for each subsequent session, for your viewing and listening pleasure, but please be aware that it has already become perfectly clear that I am NOT a cellist prodigy.
Consider yourself warned.

Thanks! I can’t say that I am proud of my efforts (at least, not yet), but it might give hope to someone else struggling with something similar. I hope. Otherwise, for the sake of the course and the assignment, I will surely embarrass myself.
